WE INVESTIGATE

The symptoms you've been told to live with.

Weight Loss Resistance

You've tracked calories, and “ate less and exercised more”. The scale moves up or doesn't move at all. This isn't a metabolism that's “broken” — it's a system under measurable stress.

Facial Puffiness & Inflammation

You notice it in photos before anywhere else. Rings feel tight. Skin feels reactive to foods you've eaten for years. Histamine is often the missing variable.

AND MORE

Chronic Bloating

Clean meals, strict meals, it doesn't matter. You end the day looking six months pregnant. Elimination diets keep failing because food isn't the root cause.

Our Process

Phase 3: Restore

Phase 4: Sustain

We rebuild the gut-lining to improve intestinal permeability, restore beneficial bacteria for gut homeostasis, and further support hormone and blood sugar regulation.

We focus on solidifying sustainable nutrition, lifestyle, and nervous system regulation habits, plus discuss a long-term maintenance plan for optimal wellness.

We address any gut pathogens, bacterial overgrowth, intestinal inflammation found on the GI Map + begin to replenish micronutrient deficiencies causing mitochondrial/metabolic dysfunction.

We start by creating a solid foundation with nutrition to support the liver, proper bile flow, and elimination pathways + nervous system regulation.

Phase 2: Remove + Rebalance

Phase 1: Foundations

About the Labs Included

The data that changes the conversation. Functional labs look at how your body is actually performing — gut terrain, cellular nutrient status, hormone patterns, and the biochemistry connecting them. That data is what lets us move past guesswork and build a nutrition plan rooted in what your body is actually telling us.

  • A comprehensive stool test that uses cutting-edge qPCR DNA technology to analyze your gut microbiome, helping to uncover potential root causes of gut, hormone, immune, and metabolic issues:

    • Pathogens: Parasites, viruses, fungi, bacteria

    • Digestive function: Elastase-1 and fat malabsorption markers

    • Gut inflammation: Calprotectin (linked to IBS and IBD)

    • H. pylori: Infection + antibiotic resistance factors

    • Beneficial bacteria: GLP-1 producing bacteria like Akkermansia and other commensal bacteria which support digestion, mood, metabolism, and hormone balance

    • Immune Response: Zonulin (intestinal permeability), Anti-gliadin (gluten sensitivity) and Secretory IgA

  • A blood panel that tests for insufficiencies in vitamins and minerals, as well as amino acids and other nutrients within immune cells.

    • 50+ markers tested, including:

      • Vitamins: A, B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12), C, D, E, K1, K2

      • Minerals: Boron, Chromium, Copper, Iodine, Lithium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Selenium, Strontium, Zinc, etc.

      • Amino Acids: Cysteine, Glycine, Taurine, Tyrosine, Tryptophan, etc.

      • Antioxidants: CoQ10, Glutathione, Lipoic Acid

      • Fatty Acids: Omega 3, Omega 6, Omega 9

      • Metabolism: Choline, Inositol, Carnitine

    • This test uses lymphocytes as a reflection of long-term nutrient status, reflecting nutrient availability over months, not just a “snapshot” as is seen in serum nutrient tests.

    • Identifies hidden nutrient deficiencies that can bottleneck biochemical pathways, driving fatigue, brain fog, and slow metabolism.

    1 tube of blood total.

  • Hormone Testing:

    • Estradiol (E2): Key estrogen for menstrual cycle regulation and mood balance.

    • Estrone (E1): Ratio of estrogens is helpful for evaluating detox capability.

    • Progesterone: Essential for ovulation, fertility, and menstrual cycle balance.

    • Testosterone (Total & Free)

    • Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG): Regulates hormone availability; altered by insulin resistance, thyroid & liver function.

    • Cortisol (AM): Primary stress hormone; impacts blood sugar, weight, sleep, and resilience.

    Thyroid Panel:

    • TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone)

    • Free T3 and Free T4: Active thyroid hormones supporting metabolism, energy, and mood.

    • Total T3 and Total T4

    • Reverse T3: Thyroid conversion marker often elevated with stress and weight loss resistance.

    • Thyroid Antibodies (TPO, TgAb): Detect autoimmune thyroid disease such as Hashimoto’s or Graves’.

    Nutrient Testing:

    • Vitamin D (25-OH)

    • Vitamin B12

    • Folate: Supports methylation, mood and neurotransmitter regulation.

    • Ferritin: Reflects iron storage.

    Complete Blood Health:

    • CBC with Differential: Comprehensive look at red and white blood cells, anemia, and immune activity.

    Liver & Detox Function:

    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): Assesses electrolytes, kidney function, and liver enzymes.

    • GGT: Sensitive marker of liver and gallbladder stress.

    Metabolic & Cardiovascular Health:

    • Glucose (Fasting)

    • Hemoglobin A1C: 3 month average of blood sugar levels.

    • Insulin (Fasting): Detects early insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction.

    • Lipid Panel (Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides)

    • ApoB: Advanced cardiovascular marker; more predictive of heart disease risk than LDL alone.

    Inflammation & Autoimmunity:

    • Hs-CRP: Key marker for systemic inflammation and cardiovascular risk.

    • Homocysteine: Linked to cardiovascular risk, B-vitamin status, and methylation.

    • ANA (Antinuclear Antibody): Screens for systemic autoimmune activity.

    3 tubes of blood total.

The Data Behind the Transformation

We track your symptoms across nine body systems at three checkpoints throughout the program, so every shift — in digestion, energy, mood, sleep, or hormonal balance — is measured, not assumed. This gives us tangible data on how your body is responding and where to refine next.

 FAQs

  • Functional nutrition focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms.

Functional nutrition uses an holistic approach, taking into consideration how various factors like diet, lifestyle, genetics, and environmental influences affect an individual's health. It emphasizes the use of food as medicine, tailoring dietary interventions to support the body's natural healing processes.

  • Functional lab testing is essential to find the root-cause of health issues by assessing markers related to gut health, hormones, nutrients, and more to precisely identify imbalances and dysfunctions that may be contributing to a patient's symptoms.

Unlike conventional tests that might only flag overt disease states, functional labs offer a more nuanced picture, allowing for early intervention and personalized treatment plans.

The GI-MAP test, in particular, uses advanced Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology, which has extremely high sensitivity and specificity. PCR can detect even minute amounts of DNA from various pathogens, including bacteria, parasites, and viruses, in the gastrointestinal tract. This high level of sensitivity ensures a more accurate assessment of gut health, making it possible to identify hidden imbalances or infections that might be missed by less sensitive testing methods.

  • Everyone is unique based off of individual health issues and duration of symptoms. I work with clients for a minimum of 4 months, as the body takes time to heal and introducing too many changes at once can be difficult. 4 months can be enough time to see lasting changes, but keep in mind nutrition and lifestyle changes are a lifelong habit.

I offer options for clients who need continuing support.

  • Yes! I work with Affirm, where you will be given the opportunity to pay monthly.

  • The cost of supplements is not included in the price of working together, though you will be given access to 20% off of all professional-grade supplements through my Fullscript account, which is not only less expensive than Amazon, but more importantly guaranteed professional-grade, third party tested, and GMP Certified quality. On Amazon you could be getting rice powder packaged in a supplement container. It's common!
